Before discovering these, I wore deerskin or goatskin gloves, because cow leather gloves are relatively stiff and thick, and hurt my knuckles whenever I bent my fingers. But the deer/goatskin gloves are so tender, I couldn't use them for yard work and gardening or I would wear them out in two months.

These bionic gloves have insets at the finger joints and other "bendy" places that allow me to grip something tightly without feeling pain from constricting material. When I first looked at them, I was worried that the insets wouldn't be thick enough to protect the knuckles on my fingers, but I have never had a moment of pain. The wrist velcro tightens enough to keep dirt particles out, even if you have a very small wrist. If the gloves get wet, I am able to continue working comfortably until the job is done - and I have NEVER been able to say that about another pair of gloves. As another person mentioned, once they dry, they are a tad stiff but loosen up almost immediately once you put them on again. (Try that with regular cow leather gloves, ha.)

I agree with the reviewers who said these can be used for any task, whether it's yard work, handling wood, home repairs, etc. These are now the only gloves I use, regardless of what I'm doing. The reinforced fingertips are excellent since that's where I usually get the most wear on my gloves. I typically get about 2 years out of each pair, but could probably keep them a little longer. In fact, when I get a new pair, I don't throw the older ones away, I use them for dirty jobs until they truly have holes in them.

After trying the regular bionic gloves, I also bought a pair of the long ones for rose gardening. I like them too, but would love it if the cuffs were even longer than they already are.

Did anyone else think “pack of two” meant you were getting 2 pair of gloves?? You’re not. Apparently “pack of two” means a glove for each hand. Sure glad I didn’t order “pack of one” hahaha! After using the manufactures suggestions on sizing, I ordered the medium. I couldn't even get the gloves past my knuckles. They are SO SMALL. I am not a large woman, nor do I have monster hands. I tried replacing these with an XL after seeing different measurement instructions on the packaging, and the XL was also TOO SMALL!! All my gardening gloves have been mediums, but not to fit into an XL is ridiculous. If you want some expensive work gloves for you kids, maybe these would work. Bionix used to make great gloves... too bad. I'll have to find another brand.

I bought these to replace an old pair I purchased more than 10 years ago. They are soft, tough leather and very well designed to not feel bulky. The padded palms make raking and shoveling more comfortable. They fit a woman's hand perfectly, but they are definitely not as well-constructed as my old pair and I'm not sure they are worth the price because I doubt this pair will last as long.

Update: After 200 hours of wear, the index fingertip on one glove developed a hole.

Bought a second pair as since wearing these I no longer get aching fingers. The extra support on joints and firm support on wrist have worked wonders, gardening was becoming miserable but now so happy I can get on with my garden. I bought the second pair to use whilst other is drying.

The gloves fit exactly as measured. They are comfortable and it is easy to move my fingers and grasp things with them. I would have given 5 stars but the right thumb has a little piece that isn't sewn right and it rubs against the skin. I've done some heavy and light gardening with them and they held up wonderfully. They feel well made and will hopefully last longer than most.
